Acceptance of Transfer Students
The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BMEN) welcomes student transfers from two sources:
- Changes of Curriculum from students currently attending Texas A&M University
- Transferring from colleges and universities outside of Texas A&M University
The following rules apply to all students seeking to transfer into BMEN:
Students must have completed the following list of undergraduate courses or their equivalents prior to being considered eligible for transfer:

The list above contains a partial list of the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) courses required for all students seeking admission into the degree sequence of a major in the Dwight Look College of Engineering. Students seeking to transfer into BMEN must also possess a 3.25 GPR in the CBK courses listed above, as well as an overall, cumulative GPR of 3.25. Additionally, if admitted the students will be required to complete the ENGR 111/112 sequence and the overall GPR of these courses along with the above CBK's must still be equal to or greater than 3.25 to be admitted into upper level.
