The Orthopedic Biomechanics and Biomaterials is under the direction of Professor William Hyman. The laboratory focuses on the analysis, design, and testing of orthopedic devices, techniques and materials with the goal of improving functional outcomes for patients. Related work focuses on whole body mechanics in areas such as gait analysis and the biomechanics of traumatic injury.
