The Nanomaterials and Biophotonics lab is under the direction of Professor Kenith E. Meissner, who came to A&M in 2004. The lab focuses on using nanostructured materials and optical techniques in biomedical imaging and sensing applications. Synthesis of colloidal nanomaterials is accomplished through both low and high temperature organometallic techniques. The lab is also equipped to perform optical characterization in the spectral as well as temporal domain. The laboratory is staffed by graduate students Adam Allen, Aaron Keho and Shankarapandian Muthukumar.
